Self-care for Primary Care-givers
At BodiWellness we are here to help as an additional resource as part of integrative health and wellness for primary care-givers and also those they are caring for.
For care-givers: Today we are seeing more people work longer hours and in many cases juggling careers and looking after elderly parents as well. Often this takes a toll on the care-givers health, so at BodiWellness we encourage you to take some personal time for yourself.
We primarily use gentle, non-invasive touch Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy and other mind-body therapies to help ease the stress of care-giving, improve resilience, relieve tension and anxiety, improve quality of sleep and generally taking care of yourself to maintain your own mental, physical and emotional well-being.
For those being cared for: These therapies may also help ease chronic pain and other health issues that may be associated with aging. Interestingly research is now identfying that craniosacral therapy may be helpful relieving common diseases of aging and may also help those suffering from early on-set of dementia to feel more relaxed and less anxious.
