Anxiety and Panic Attacks

Panic attacks are seen as an escalated state of anxiety. What has happened in both situations is the body’s ‘fight or flight’ switch has been highly activated over a period of time and unable to return to normal, placing a strain on both your physical and emotional wellbeing.

Adrenalin is our acute stress hormone. If you have ever suffered from a racy heart, the shakes, your thoughts started racing all over the place and you possibly forgot to breathe or hyper-ventilated (over-breathing) then you have just met adrenalin. Adrenalin is not a `bad guy'. It is designed to put us on red alert, getting us ready to fight or flight, The trouble starts when as above it is activated over and over again and unable to return to normal.
